In her work, the moon, points of light and clusters of stars evoke distant memories, reconnecting us with those that have drifted apart.

For this year’s HKOP award recipient, Clara Wan Shin-yee, printmaking is much like the art therapy she practices: it opens a space for contemplation. Through the delicate textures and subtle nuances of light and shadow in intaglio, she slowly explores the sense of loss that follows separation.

This exhibition, “The After”, presents works created during her residency and invites us to trace the connection between imprints and inner emotions, while reflecting  on human connection and disconnection.
